Your Christening Checklist

Here is our advised Christening Checklist

6 - 8 weeks before your christening

  • Decide on a date, time, church or other venue
  • Make an appointment with the vicar
  • Choose and approach the godparents
  • Decide on a style and theme (if any)
  • Book entertainers, photographer and caterers

4 - 6 weeks before your christening

  • Create your guest list
  • Organise the christening / baptism cake
  • Finalise food with the caterers
  • Post invitations and include RSVP info!
  • Start to search for babies christening outfit and yours!

2 - 4 weeks before your christening

  • Arrange for extra help if needed
  • Organise transport
  • Purchase decorations and balloons
  • Design your seating plan
  • Confirm arrangements with photographer, vicar, caterer, cake baker, entertainer, godparents

1 week before your christening

  • Finilise babies christening outfit and yours
  • Purchase your christening gif and card
  • Bake cake
  • Buy / Prepare foods for freezer
  • Check you have sufficient plates, cutlery and glasses
  • Check you have correct documents
  • Buy batteries / films for cameras
